I am visiting my dad in texas for the summer and i don’t think i could survive the entire summer without my camera. it is a 3 hour plane ride, and i was wondering if it was going to be safe to bring it along. Will it be ok going through security? It is a digital Nikon D100. Also would it be better to take it as a carry on or should i put it in my suite-case?

Mrs. P tells it like it is! asked: I am planning a 4-26-08 wedding. It’s going along very nicely, and it’s turning out to be very inexpensive due to a lot of connections I have. For example, my dad is a member at the hall where we are having our receptions, so we get a 50% discount.
Photography is the one thing I don’t have taken care of yet. The places I’ve looked into START at $2000, and that’s without the prints. There is no way we can afford to spend that much. Our parents are already helping as much as they possibly can, so asking them is out of the question.
Does anyone have any advice on how to get quality photos that don’t put us WAY over budget? Thanks!
