I think you’re forgetting who the d5000 is marketed for. d300 and d200’s are much better cameras but they are a separate class of camera for truly serious and working professional photographer. I do think the price of the d5000 is a bit steep for the consumer esp in this economy right now but it’s cheap compared to a d300 at twice the price for a body only.

It´s amazing how much value for money you get in this type of camera now. I´ve recently been trying out the D90 and D300 and with the same sensor this will set a new standard for this type of performance in a more compact sized body. Nikon has done it again!

Is the video from the D5000 really that clear? 4 Frames Per Second sounds kinda sketchy. The Nikon P90 has 13 Frames Per Second, does that make the P90 have better quality than the D5000? Sorry, im kinda new at this stuff and im trying to find my first SLR camera
