Hook this camera up with the new AF-S 50mm 1.4 and the new DX 35mm 1.8 and you´ll be doing FINE!

4 fps when you take photos (no live-view)….not video

    They had many different lenses: the 18-105mm, a 105mm Micro, a 10,5 Fisheye ………

it doesn’t have built in AF motor in it, so beware…

Is the video from the D5000 really that clear? 4 Frames Per Second sounds kinda sketchy. The Nikon P90 has 13 Frames Per Second, does that make the P90 have better quality than the D5000? Sorry, im kinda new at this stuff and im trying to find my first SLR camera :P

There’s something not quite right about a pair of tweens playing with a camera that growups would really think twice before forking out a bundle of cash for. Envious? Moi?

Looks like a fantastic camera, though.

Nice demo. Was that a stock lense? Is it the 18-55? It doesn’t look like it.

Camera’s and sand, not a happy mix, even if it is digital, the grains of sand will still ***** up the focus and zoom.

you gotta remember that the d5000 shoots HD video too. so the price isn’t that bad at all

this commercial is one of the reasons why I still want to buy D90 more than something like d5000

It´s amazing how much value for money you get in this type of camera now. I´ve recently been trying out the D90 and D300 and with the same sensor this will set a new standard for this type of performance in a more compact sized body. Nikon has done it again!

At 1:18, the girl starts mouthing the same scripted words the boy is saying.

I think you’re forgetting who the d5000 is marketed for. d300 and d200’s are much better cameras but they are a separate class of camera for truly serious and working professional photographer. I do think the price of the d5000 is a bit steep for the consumer esp in this economy right now but it’s cheap compared to a d300 at twice the price for a body only.
