Does anyone own a Nikon digital camera that they love or ****?

If you own a Nikon digital camera I would really like to know your thoughts on it. Just be sure to tell me what kind it is and what you like and don’t like about it.
I’m looking to buy a Nikon digital camera soon and I wanted some outside views on which ones are the best. Price isn’t that important to me as long as the quality is worth it. I don’t want to pay $700+ only to find out that I might as well have gotten a disposable camera from walmart.

I own a Nikon D50,and am happy with it. The only frustrating thing is that I don’t yet have the skills to fully utilize its capabilities.
HOWEVER-there is more variation in pix quality due to the skill of the user than in the cameras. Sort of like making love.
