the biggest difference, in terms of the still features, is that the d90 has an internal motor. now if you plan on using AF-S lenses only, this will not be a problem. if you plan on using older prime lenses (all AF lenses that are ***** driven), the d60 will not auto focus. the d60 has the capabilities of taking great photos, but again, if you want auto focus on future lenses, then a d90 would be great.

Is there a big difference between D60 and D90? :-)
I actually own a D60 and think of changing it for a D90, would it be smart? or useless?
I’m not a pro at all, just a huge fan of photography.

    Thanks

“There is a joke among newspaper reporters that 8 out of 10 uses nikon and the other 2, canon. haha” but before the D3 it was the exact opposite.

Yes , the have the same powergrip

  10. sekroobon 12 Jul 2009 at 12:37 am

I wonder how much they paid him to do this “comercial”

  11. vincenttilman87on 12 Jul 2009 at 10:27 pm

I guess they use it with a MB-D80 Powergrip? This powergrip can be used for the d90 as well, right?

I’m getting one next week, finally getting rid of my D60 and trading up.

  14. robertop19on 14 Jul 2009 at 2:48 am

    500D(power x1i) not 50D

  15. jjolmyunon 15 Jul 2009 at 8:52 am

If you’re not, then D90 would work.
From my point of view, Nikon bodies seem to last longer (i mean, people use older models after years and years)
There is a joke among newspaper reporters that 8 out of 10 uses nikon and the other 2, canon. haha
P.S. 50D is counted as PROFESSIONAL camera (so far) and D90 as a mid-range promature DSLR.

  16. jjolmyunon 17 Jul 2009 at 5:04 pm

If you’re going for L class lens and faster burst shooting, go for 50D. (Personally, i think L class lens is better than Nikon’s professional level lenses by a slight margin, although not noticeable on a thumbnail or small prints.)

    yup, thats D90.
I love this freaking camera xD
