Part 2- if a person (myself) wanted to do some side work as a wedding photographer… what should I expect? Free intern like experiences, or $50-$85 tip for the day?

We want to know what you think!

Actually you can go to school for photography. Some of the best schools are on line school. After wards then you might do a internship, depends on the agreement you make with your hiring photographer.

The easiest way to find out what type of fees are excepted for photography in your area, is to look up photographers online in your are. They normally have prices and their packages all listed.

    Good Luck!

$2500 is average cost. You could charge $200 if you don’t have a lot of experience.

I don’t believe there really is an “average”.
There are a lot of factors that go into the cost - time spent, # photos, albums/prints later, CD, photo rights - you get the idea.
In order to get started and make it worth the risk of trying you as a photographer, you are going to have to price yourself low - - otherwise people won’t see the benefit to trying your services.
